Navigation Note:
Because I have so many images (over 300), I'm going to be setting them up thusly:
For the larger fandoms like Highlander and Stargate, I'll be listing the individual pieces via thumbnail or a simple copy listing on the leftside navigation bar. This will avoid a massive drop down menu.
For fandoms with 3 or more images, I've moved them under the general, 'Fanart' category.
For fandoms for which I've only done a single piece of art, they'll be in the generic category: 'Single' and will be linked via thumbnails or a copy listing. |

This site is for adults only. You must be of age to view the art within.
Terms of Use: Please do not use my art on or in your site, LJ, t-shirts, buttons, zines or any other public or private media. You're welcome to use the art for your personal desktop image at home, but other than that, it is very important to me that my art stays on my site alone. Please don't take my art.

September 3, 2010—Mix-up on story post
A couple weeks ago, I updated my site with a White Collar fic, The Mirror's Mirror. Somehow, on the next update, I used an old back-up and updated the wrong folder, so even though the story is still on my site, you actually can't navigate to it unless you have the exact addy. I've updated everything again, so the story shows up in the links.
Thanks,
x.
August 21, 2010—Story Update
Evening. Tonight's post is for the movie, 3:10 to Yuma. I started this one last year and put it away when I couldn't finish it to my satisfaction. It follows my story, Ben Wade Dreamed and takes place between The Lost Sheep and Colorado. The story, Home, can be found here and is about 4,200 words.
Thanks,
x.
August 6, 2010—First Friday Post
Tonight's post is for a Mentalist story I started back in January. It's based on what little we know of Cho's background—that he was in the military before he went into law enforcement. Because I started it in January, some of the other bits of his history aren't included. I'm kind of confused about the show in general and decided to work from what I know from the first season. This is set in my Jane/Cho universe, but isn't a part of The Red Men arc. The new story, Field Test no. 10: First Steps and Other Scary Things is about 11,000 words and can be found here.
Next up (figuratively speaking) is the sequel to The Red Men, then a long Criminal Minds story I've been pecking at, then the sequel to my first Inception story, Infected.
Hope you enjoy,
x.
July 25, 2010
Today's post is for a movie I felt like I waited for, for a very long time (just 8 months but it felt longer). I loved everything about Inception -- I think the last time I was this in love with a movie was either 3:20 to Yuma or Master & Commander. And, like it seems to happening more and more lately, I've sort of skipped over the de rigeur slash pairing in favor of one that seemed all over the screen—Cobb and Saito. Their relationship contains elements that are like catnip for me and I couldn't not write:) The story, Infected, takes place after the movie and I think is probably the precursor to a longer story. Again, it's Cobb/Saito. ETA: I forgot to post the right version of the story. That has been corrected.
One thing--I've been feeling pretty guilty about not finishing the two Mentalist stories I've got in the works, so I've made a deal with myself: I can't work on anything long until the sequel to The Red Men is finished. I'm allowing myself 24-48 to work on other stories and if I can't get it done in that time frame, I shelve it.
Thanks,
x.
July 14, 2010—Late First Friday Post
Today's post is a one-off for the movie, The Departed. I have a lot of issues with the movie but it had enough good elements to hold my interest beyond the closing credits. But, the ending bothered me and I always wondered what would have happened if it went differently. The story, "The Crooked Line," is Costigan/Dignam, and can be found here.
One thing, The Departed uses the word, 'fuck' 237 times -- I kept that in mind while I was writing:)
Thanks,
x.
June 4, 2010—First Friday Post
I was going to wait until July to post this piece (for the new White Collar season), but I don't have anything else ready for a First Friday post, so I figured, what the hell. Today's post is a piece of art I did for this last Escapade Con. It's White Collar, Neal/Peter (I'm not an Neal/Peter/Elizabeth gal -- I can't seem to make that work out in my head). I'm not sure where I'd place this in canon -- maybe nowhere? Anyway, the title is: The Last Time Neal Ran and can be found here.
Thanks,
x.
May 28, 2010—Fiction Update: Thunderheart
This month, TCM has been showing films that either feature a Native American cast or storyline. Recently, they showed Thunderheart, a film from 1992. It deals with the late 70s 'unrest' in South Dakota, fairly evenly, I think. I had fallen in love with the film at the time, even going so far as seeing it a couple times in the theater, (something I rarely did back then). And even though 1992 was a couple years before I discovered slash, the relationship between the two main characters (played by Graham Greene and Val Kilmer) just really wowed me. This story, To the End of the Earth, takes place immediately after the last scene. You sort of need to know the film to understand it, so if you haven't seen Thunderheart, I highly recommend it -- it's a wonderful film even though it deals with a pretty painful subject.
Thanks,
x.
May 7, 2010—First, First Friday's Post
Art update. Another long time between posting. Tonight's upload is for my first fandom, X-files. Ah, those heady, heady days of the alt.tv.x-files list and the M/K Romantics Assoc:)
I started this pic a very long time ago (I think before 2000) and like a lot of pieces, I got frustrated with it and never finished it. I resurected it for this year's Escapade and managed to work out the kinks. It's Mulder/Krycek, set sometime in the 8th season. Actually, it could be set in any season because as far as I'm concerned, the Incident in the parking garage never happened:) It's titled, Alley: 2 a.m. and can be found here.
Hope you enjoy it:)

February 20, 2010
Art update. And wow, I just realized that it's been almost 9 months since I posted any new art. Need to check up on that -- that can't be right:)
Anyway, tonight's upload is for one of my favorite shows with my favorite pairings: The Mentalist and Jane/Cho. Oddly enough, I was almost finished with the piece when I realized I was illustrating a scene from the sequel of my story, The Red Men--guess my subconscious has been busy:) Those of you familiar with the show will recognize where part of the piece comes from (I love that both Jane and Cho wear blue pajamas in a couple of the eps -- I can't help find that endearing and a little suggestive). The piece, In the Bedroom, can be found here.

February 14, 2010
Fic update, just in time for Valentine's Day (not really -- I wrote this last week, but haven't had the time to post it). Anyway, this is a new Mentalist fic (Jane/Cho, natch) and is based on the episode, Redline, so you might need to have watched that to get some of the references. The story, Vroom, Vroom. is 5,000+ words and can be found here.
RE: the T-shirt Sale will be ending soon. I need to have some time to do art for the Escpade Convention so I'm only going to be accepting orders through February 17th. Thanks so much for your support. I'll be posting the final dollar amounts that I'll be donating pretty darn soon.
Happy Valentine's Day!:)

ART SALE! More art...
Tonight's update is for SPN. You can see some thumbnails below -- they're for the Sam/Dean pairing, but I'm working on a Dean/Castiel. (note: The images aren't linked anywhere from the site except from this page). Thanks:)
February 1, 2010
ART SALE!
Tonight's update is another tshirt design (for White Collar--see below) and a simple manip for White Collar (Peter/Neal) that is just a simple manip. But it makes me smile. You can find it here. (note: The image isn't linked anywhere from the site except from this page).
ETA: forgot to post the orginal photo for the White Collar manip. You can find it here.
Plus, I'm posting some of the shirts I've been thinking about for years--they aren't fannish, per se, just sort of funny (I hope<g>)
January 20, 2010
So weird, typing 2010—it looks so space-age:) Anyway, tonight's post is for a Mentalist story I started after Christmas. I was planning on a very minor story, no more than 1,000 words. But, like a lot of things these days, I underestimated a bit. What I ended up with is a longer story that focuses on the second season, thus far, mainly the first and last episodes. It's called, Field Test no. 9: Progress or Lack Thereof, is Jane/Cho, and can be found here. One note: this particular story is more of a short-hand than I usually write—it might be confusing if you haven't seen the second season.
In addition, I've uploaded a cleaned up pic of Jane from Throwing Fire (the leaves one). That can be found here.

December 24, 2009
Tonight's update is, once again, for Band of Brothers. It's another story I wrote in 2004/05. I never posted it, being unsure of some of the elements, but now it's finished. It takes place during the episode Points, is Winters/Nixon, and is roughly 29,000. The title is, A Different War, and can be found here.
Next up will be a small Mentalist story (Jane/Cho). I should have that posted by New Year's Eve.
Oh two things: The Hurt Locker is going to be released on DVD on January 12th. The movie is brilliant and the characters are fantastic--I highly recommend it. And, I've recently discovered that hand drawing is actually easier on my hands than work done in Photoshop, so I'll probably be giving that a go in the next few months. I'm not going to give up on computer-aided art, but I'll try to mix it up a little.
Merry Christmas:)

December 11, 2009
Tonight's update is Band of Brothers again. Like the other stories and art, I wrote this 4 or 5 years ago, and like the others, I've changed it a bit. I'm not sure if I ever posted this or not. The story, Into the Woods, is based on the episode, Why We Fight and is Winters/Nixon.
Enjoy:)

November 25, 2009
Tonight's update is Band of Brothers, sort of. I'm reposting some art I did about 5 years ago. The first is: Achter Eindhoven. The second is Homophony (two or more parts moving in harmony), a series of 5 images that tell, hopefully, a very specific tale.
Enjoy:)

October 29, 2009
Tonight's update is for Band of Brothers again. The stories I'm posting tonight were written in 2005 -- I posted the first story, but never was happy with the other two, so I just let them percolate. The series is titled, The Devil and Carwood Lipton. The title comes from TWOP, specifically, a recap by Heathen wherein she writes about Private Blithe's encounter with Lt. Speirs:
"Blithe and I both get goosebumps, because that's what happens when you're in the presence of the Dark Lord, if you've somehow avoided catching fire."
I thought it was a little funny, very accurate, and started writing. The stories in this series are: Leaving Rachamps, The Devil and Carwood Lipton, and The Devil You Know. All together, they total about 12,000 words.
If you're curious, there are some great Speirs/Lipton scenes in The Breaking Point and The Last Patrol.

October 29, 2009
Tonight's update is for the Band of Brothers and Dead Zone fandoms. A little over 4 years ago I started two stories that I shelved for a while. Like you do. Anyway, I thought they'd be appropriate for the upcoming Halloween holiday, being that they both involve the supernatural. The first, Kleines Mädchen Verloren, is a Winters/Nixon story that takes place during the episode, Why We Fight. The second, This Little Light, is a Dead Zone story (Johnny/Bruce) and takes place roughly in the second season (sort of -- I'm pretending that everything after season 3 didn't happen<g>).
I've got some of the other Band of Brothers stories that I"m reworking, then it's back to The Mentalist. And maybe some White Collar art for the holidays.

September 27, 2009
Tonight's update is for some of the stories done for my art, specifically the Bystander Zine I did in 2003 and Bystander stories (Bystander stories are fiction written from a bystander POV). The stories are written for the Harry Potter, Highlander, Mag7, Star Wars, TPM, and X-files fandoms and this is the first time I've posted them in HTML format. The zine stories can be found at: Stories>Zines>fandoms and the regular stories can be found at: Stories>Stories by Others>individual stories. There's some fantastic fic there by some of my favorite authors, so enjoy:)
I'll be posting the other stories sometime this week.
x.
September 23, 2009
Art up: Star Wars and TPM—I've redone quite a few of the TPM images, mostly cleaning up some odd perspective and color issues. I've also enlarged some of the images. Next up, Mag7 and Band of Brothers.
thanks:) x.
September 20, 2009
I'm finally getting around to redoing some of the old art and reposting. What I've got up tonight are all of the Highlander (minus some of the humor bits), the Stargate SG: 1 (ditto) and the Humor sections (mostly TPM).
thanks:) x.
September 14, 2009
Finally, I just uploaded my next Mentalist story, The Red Men. It's Jane/Cho and takes place after Scarlet. Crimson. Red. Please note that this is the first part and the sequel won't be posted for a while, maybe as much as three months. It's fairly complex, for me, and I want to get it right.
The next stuff up, eventually, is another A Dangerous Man story that's turning into a 3-way crossover (A Dangerous Man, Syriana, and The Hurt Locker) -- which means it really has nothing to do with A Dangerous Man, I suppose. Plus, I'm starting to work on some art—mostly for my 2010 Calendar, but also for Leverage (Nate/Elliot). It's going slow, so I'm not sure how/when it'll all be done.
thanks:) x.
September 13, 2009
Back in the spring I got the idea to do some Primers for the shows I love -- basically using screen caps to illustrate my favorite scenes. I did some for the show, Jericho, and I just finished some for the show, The Mentalist (specifically, Jane/Cho). I just uploaded them and they can be found here (The Mentalist Primers).
The next Mentalist story is finished. I'm going to be posting in the morning (Sept 14) when I get the html pages finished.
thanks:) x.
August 30, 2009
Tonight's post is for the movie, 3:10 to Yuma. I wrote this back in May when I was visiting western Colorado. The story is set a few years after Ben Wade Dreamed. It might be a good idea to read that first as this new fic, Colorado, references that story directly.
The Mentalist story is finished. I hope to post it this week. I'm also working on a primer, the same sort of thing I did for my Jericho story, only for Jane/Cho.
thanks:) x.
August 12, 2009
I actually took some time off this last weekend and re-watched a movie I hadn't seen in years: A Dangerous Man. I thought it couldn't possibly be as slashy as I remembered and I was wrong--it's even more so. Amost to the point of being too much, which sounds odd, I realize. Anyway, I watched the movie and the next morning I woke up with a story in my head. I tried to resist at first, but knew I'd get nothing done unless I sat down and wrote it. So, it's short (2,000), set in the year 2019, and is the lead-in to the longer story I really want to write (if I even can -- the scope of the story I want to tell might be beyond my abilities). But all that's going to have to wait until winter when the days are short and it's very cold outside--I figure writing about the desert will be a good remedy for the winter blues. This story, Damascus, 2019, can be found under the Fiction section. Oh, it's Faisal/Lawrence, btw.
The Mentalist story is still in progress:)
thanks:) x.
July 26, 2009
Tonight's update: A Month of Sundays, for the show, Jericho. This is the story that I wrote last August and shelved for a while until I could rethink a few things. I also decided that I really needed to tell two stories: Post-Civil War, and the actual war itself. I won't be posting that for a couple months, however (like all my stories, if it has a sequel, it will eventually be posted.) A few notes: the story is Jake/Hawkins, about about 67,000 words and takes up from where the show left off.
The Jericho Primer is still here and it's still missing a few pages -- I hope to finish those up this week:) Let me know if you have any questions about the show--I've got some great links to more Jericho info.
The first part of the next Mentalist fic is in progress--I hope to have that done by the middle of August.
thanks:) x.
July 20, 2009
Tonight's update: for the show, Jericho. I've been working on a Jake/Hawkins story for a while (well, not for a while--I started it a while ago and am only now proofing it) and I'll be posting it soon, but first, I'd thought I'd upload some guides that I've been doing, a series of primers, if you will. The story, A Month of Sundays, will be posted on the 22nd, but you can find some of the primers here. (note that the main Jericho page is only linked from this page). The primers are just little vignettes as to why I love this show so much.
Hope you enjoy them:)
July 3, 2009
The Mentalist—new ficlet (Field Test no. 7: Phone Calls & Boundaries). Today's story is in the same universe (if you want to call it that) as the Crimson.Scarlet.Red and Field Test no. 5 stories. It's based on the episode, Red John's Footsteps, so there are tiny spoilers there. Next up (in a week or so) will be the Jericho story, and then sometime at the end of July, a new Mentalist story. This one is longish (40,000 so far) and it will have a sequel.
The art front isn't looking so good—I wanted to post a Die Hard (John/Matt) image I'd started on at the first of last month, but my main computer is, unfortunately, on it's way to Dead Computer Land. So, that means I'm not going to be re-working on the old images, like I had planned, but simply reposting them. Once I get a new, faster machine, I hope to get some new art posted.
Happy 4th for those who celebrate it (or, in the immortal words of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon: "Celebrate the birth of your nation by blowing up a small part of it." -- I guess that goes for you Canada Day folks as well<g>)
June 19, 2009
Harry Potter—art update for HP (Harry/Snape). This one is sort of a cheat -- it's sort of a sequel to Disarmed. I did a smaller, less refined version for Walking the Plank back in February--I'm not sure if they're using it yet.
Standoff/Life Xover art--the second upload is for a mash up fandom of the two shows Standoff and LIfe (both now cancelled, unfortunately). I ran across some fabulous stories by Mardia and was inspired to do some art for the xover. What these images are are mashed together screen caps (sorta) -- I haven't worked this way before (preferring to draw as much of my own art as possible). It was actually nice -- the images didn't take that much time and I got to play around with color casts. The art can be found under Fanart>Other>Standoff/Life Xover. For Mardia's stories, please see: http://mardia.livejournal.com/ She just posted this wonderful Matt/Charlie told from Dani's POV -- go read:)
Older stuff uploaded -- Harry Potter.
To date: All of Fast and Furious, Harry Potter, Andromeda, Iron Man, Jericho, Master & Commander, Smallville, Psych, Miracles. Some images uploaded: Highlander, Covers for LotR, X-files, Buffy.
May 17, 2009
The Mentalist—new ficlet (A First). The post for tonight was originally intended as part of the the Three Firsts but it was too dark and I didn't know where to take it so I started over. It's short, 1,100+ words and is a supposition as to how Jane and Cho first met.
May 17, 2009
3:10 to Yuma Stories up. Art: Iron Man, Psych, Miracles, Master & Commander, Jericho, Smallville, some Highlander.
Highlander was one of the first fandoms I started working in and it shows. Many of the images are very small and technical troubled. I've started redoing some (Stroke, The Hush series), and others I've posted the AU versions (Still with the original background and Ah with the ghost version). I've also posted, In the Dojo — I know I've posted it before, but I can't seem to find a copy on my old site, so you can consider it a new post:)
I generally go through two or three tries to get an image going. Usually I focus on the final image and shelve the others--going through my old pieces I came across a couple I like enough to post. Tonight I'm posting an image for Andromeda that's sort of a prequel to my other image, That Barbed Malice. You can find it under the Fanart>Other section (file name: That Barbed Malice - Before). The next is an image that I'm pretty sure I never posted, as well. It's for the Master & Commander fandom, and is sort of the prequel to Of Lemons and Lampreys. You can find it under Fanart>Master&Commander section (Of Lemons and Lampreys - Before)
May 12, 2009
Mentalist stories, Fast and Furious pages up
May 10, 2009
Prison Break - re-edited story up
Things are still empty in X-land. I'm still working on navigation, slowly but surely (mostly slowly). I'm also taking a look at the old images, and boy, there are a lot with issues. I'm thinking of re-uploading about 2/3's of the HIghlander images and maybe 8/10ths of Stargate pics -- I have so many that are repetitious. Still need to think on that, though.
The re-upload today is for the Prison Break Fandom. It's a re-edit of the story, The Ninth Fold-- I fixed some typos, slowed the ending down a bit, and added about 5,000 words. I've got a sequel in the works, but both can easily stand alone.
thanks, x.
April 24, 2009
New Site in progress!
As you can see, I've got a new site in the works which means that everything is gone, gone, gone -- for the time being. I've got three pages in place as testing pages (besides the update and index page: Two Fast & Furious pages and a Mentalist story (Home, 10 Seconds, and Field Test no. 5, respectively). As soon as I've got everything working, I'll start to populate the site. It will be a very slow process and I'll put the newest items up first. I've tried to forecast, but I know I'll run into bumps as soon as I start to get into the series and humor sections.
I do have some new images (Harry Potter, Standoff/Life xovers) -- I'll try to get those up in the next few days or so.
thanks, x.
Desktop Pics
3-7-09 Images for your desktop. Tonight's upload: Dom (FatF) and Cho (TheMentalist). More to come:)
3-9-09 Bruce (The Dead Zone)
3-15-09 Mahone (Prison Break)

April 11, 2009
Tonight's post is because I finally got to see Fast and Furious the other day and I am smitten. Again:) This new image is, as all the others, Brian/Dom and is titled, Home. I'm thinking it takes place sometime after the movie.
enjoy:)

April 6, 2009
I'm playing catchup again. I've just posted two new stories for The Mentalist. Three Firsts is a series of 3 shorties, one for Jane and one for Cho. I wanted to write some what-ifs and since 3 is such a wonderful number, I settled on that format. The second was something I started back in November, but got sidetracked by the Yuma story. Field Test no. 5: Presents and Other Dangerous Objects is based on a couple scenes from Red Handed (the Las Vegas ep). Both can be found on the Stories page.
Also, I realized I had never linked to the last 3:10 to Yuma story (The Lost Sheep) on the Stories page and had never posted a PDF of all three stories. I just updated the Stories page with those files. If anyone wants all three stories in one HTML file, let me know.
Next up: finishing some art I started in the last few months (a Standoff/Life xover, a new Prison Break piece) plus I'm rewriting my first Prison Break story, The Ninth Fold due to some wacky typos and then I'll be working on two new Prison Break stories that I started last month. That said, I haven't seen The Fast & the Furious (I keep wanting to type it, 'Fourious,' which would be appropriate, but wrong), and I know as soon as I do, I'll want to trot out some art I started a long, long time ago. So, all of the above might be put back a couple weeks.
thanks:)
